I spent a summer as a teenager working on and off picking blueberries. It was monotonous, dirty, and absolutely exhausting work that gained me very little pay. I have nothing but mad respect for farm workers who pick in the fields these days.

Farm work is hard work. It does not pay well and most Americans don’t want to do it. If it were no for immigrants doing farm work, the crops would go unpicked.

Beyond thankful for my people that do the job that nobody else will do. I’m thankful that my Latinos continue to work hard for miserable wages without many complaints. Please continue to fight for them. Since their voices are not heard.

Its not a surprise the United Farm Workers endorsed you.

She has been there for them- with heat protections against conditions that kill them, with overtime protections all other workers have. I see why they endorsed her, too.

When I was a kid and times were tough, my Mother, 3 sisters, and I, worked as migrant workers during the summer. It is not easy work.

Thank you!
