Most of these workers don’t work for the airlines but for contractors. True, airlines are horrible for many reasons, but you might be attacking the wrong target here.
Airline catering workers shouldn’t have to choose between paying their bills or seeing a doctor. Today I joined @unitehere in calling on @AmericanAir, @United, and @Delta to raise the minimum wage of catering workers to $15/hr and benefits. One job should be enough to survive.

Hi Kamala , I work for one of the major airlines and want to share w you , Catering employees do not work for the airlines they work for the catering companies. The airlines contract the catering companies. Your issues should be brought up to the catering companies. Thanks

I work in retail, part time, for fun. Every. Single. Part timer in that store has at least two jobs. Most have three. And they’re ALL struggling. Even $15 an hour doesn’t it it in the northeast. But this part time thing employers are doing is awful.

My old boss (fast food) would try to get employees making overtime to go on salary so they didn’t need to cut their hours and pay them less.

Yeah Kamala, what gives? Their pay is determined by a living-wage policy negotiated between Unite Here Local 11 & Los Angeles World Airports. LAWA is the airport authority that owns/operates LAX for the city of Los Angeles. The airlines only contract their services.
