Our children should not have lockdown drills on a constant basis. This should not be normal. Our communities should never predict that they’ll be the next one hit. This should not be normal. We shouldn’t accept these tragedies as commonplace. This should not be normal.

I'm going to say this again Ms Harris, I was born in 1975 in Washington DC. We had shooter drills, air raid drills, earthquake drills, bum lock in drills and Bomb drills as in nuclear. Also to get into the schools there were metal detectors and officers. So stop the fear tactics.

I was also born in 75. And grew up in a small town in Illinois. We had the lock down, fire, tornado, and nuke drills.

It used to be bombings and air raid drills.There is always something we are going to have to worry about with mentally deficient criminals in our society. Address mental health needs and enforce the 22,000 gun laws we have

Don’t forget about the kidnappings when kids walked home from school in the 80s. Any given school has a 1 in 614 million chance of having an active shooter. Prepare-yes, but the fear being forced on the kids and parents is statistically unnecessary

In my day, we had drills for fear of Soviet attacks. Russians are still scary to Americans, but these drills are about internal enemies.
