How about establishing a society where one parent has to work and the other can stay home with their kids instead of outsourcing childcare to strangers. They're your kids!

When I was in highschool I was struggling to get through an 8 hour day, having an 11 hour school day may be beneficial to parents, but definitely not the students who are already struggling and might need to work after school to support their family

I don't think this program is a requirement for high school students. I think it's meant to be an option for those who need it.
