It's either naive or disingenuous to even imply that you can get real health care reform while private insurers are given a seat at the table in the U.S.. They have demonstrated again and again that they will block any solution that does not increase their profits.

Actually, it'd be nice to have healthcare provided so we don't have to trade away pay and benefits at the negotiating table to make sure we're covered. That might be why the National Nurses United union backs Medicare for all. Healthcare is a human right, not a bargaining chip.

As a union member, I'm fine with M4A. It means that my compensation doesn't get eaten up by a health care plan and can go to my pension, deferred compensation, and pay.
