I stand with any politician who will demand that the rest of us non-teachers get summers off, thanksgiving week, two weeks at Christmas and spring break off. And teacher level health benefits and pension. And that we all get to work 8-3. I stand with that!

I wish! I’m free to take the summer off, just not free to come back after and think I’m still employed

Might want to get a copyright on this before Elizabeth Warren copies and pastes this Twitter as her own and then spam it.

They agreed to the job and the pay

All teachers have access to their salary schedules before they sign their contracts. They are public documents-they know what their pay will be for the next 30yrs. Tchrs are also able to move to higher paying districts-I did 15yrs ago and never looked back.

you are just pandering as usual. CPS teachers have some of the highest pay around. I agree with the stance on class sizes & so forth they fight for but at the end of the day this pay thing is bs, let alone the fact the city is flat broke & can't afford more pay
