As a Union man I agree with her. Those of you who are against unions have never experienced the horror of the fact that you have no power against a corporation with their lawyers. With no union to fight for you there's no way to get justice.

More likely they have never felt the power of a union

If an employee is valuable, and dynamic they will always have the upper hand on corporations. It's up to the employee to prove their value. Every pizza parlor wants me to spend $ at their place - through quality, value, and location I employ one of them. Same thing.

THIS IS WHY WE HAVE UNIONS IN AMERICA
We know a worker negotiating against a corporation isn’t going to be fair.
That's why we have unions: so we can achieve fair wages and benefits for workers.

#True Discouraging, tho', that this keeps having to be pointed out. I would've thought it obvious by now. Odd what some people choose to believe — & insist they're right & everyone else is wrong. I know working people whose lives have been saved, literally, by unions#UnionStrongThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

So, in Medicare for All, do doctors have to unionize to negotiate with Medicare for higher rates of payments? What happens when unionized doctors are on strike and don’t take care of patients?

So how about we give these workers more power to successfully strike, how do we do that? With a dividend of $1k/month, it would allow them to strike longer and harder without worrying about most things. Sure it will still be tough but it will make things more manageable.

I am all in on the general concept of UBI, but how do we enact it without rent-seeking landlords just jacking up their prices to match?
