state: ok were admitting that privatized prisons are abject immorality and we believe that prisoners are not meant to be looked at as individuals to profit off of but individuals for the state to rehabilitate to build a new life on the outside. You ppl; BuT WhAtS iT cOstTtTt?

Because the government can do much better?!? With a corrections MS degree and multiple years working behind the door of prisons hands down government run facilities are horrible. This will go very badly for our prisoners.

As a result of private prison closures, county jails which contract with the feds to house inmates are full. Local inmates are released early, including habitual offenders who are repeatedly realeased and arrested for new crimes. So yeah, thanks Gavin. More crime and homelessness
