Insurance companies did that. Can you tell me what the ACA does to help people & protect us from predatory carriers? Answer: No fake coverage, allows kids to stay on parents' policies, protects millions with pre-existing conditions & provides preventive care coverage

It was such a help for us since our daughter was in grad school. When she turned 26 she thankfully was in a state that expanded Medicaid. If not she'd be trying to pay off a large Hospital bill.

Well the GOP made it so I can choose to not have insurance, which I CHOOSE to not have insurance, as a healthy 27 year old about to do public service for a year. I wouldnt have needed to be on my parents insurance if I wasnt mandated to have insurance.

The counter argument being that if everyone stareted paying in when they were young and healthy the increasing cost of their health care as they age would be amoritized and not be such a burden or shock.
