That's because your understanding of the health care system is limited. There are huge differences in cost, quality and use of evidence based protocols across the provider community. There's a reason for networks - they protect the patient as well as the bottom line.

Imagine not having any doctors to go to, because none of them will accept “Medicare for All”. Imagine being on a year long waiting list for a procedure easily acquired by people with private health insurance. This will be the reality. Enjoy!

Her plan is the same as Medicare is now, with the option of buying private insurance, which is why it's the best. Doctors don't have a problem with it.

Imagine waiting a year for a hip replacement because of a doctor shortage. Imagine not getting much needed care because a govt IPAB (death panel) determines based on QALY (quality adjusted life years) that you are too old or too young and are of no benefit to the collective.

Currently Medicare pays 80% of costs and doesn't cover everything. The other 20% is out of pocket or means paying high monthly premiums for supplemental insurance plans. Medicare Advantage Plans are HMO's, with restrictions.

I have Medicare and a supplemental policy. It’s still $200 cheaper than what I paid through Obamacare
