I’m not for total student debt forgiveness But there should be a fair and reasonable plan for it. Zero percent interest for starters Our government should prioritize education and not ‘make money’ off of student loans. No for profit student loan sharks. Legit schools

How about closer scrutiny of the *schools* that are getting government-backed lending? Too many are expensive and useless.

I would support reducing or eliminating the interest on government-backed student loans but they should have to pay back the balance. You borrow it, you pay it back!

Loan forgiveness is a joke. I had $80K in SL debt. Paying $800/mo on extended std plan. Went to work for public transit. Public service forgiveness required me to make $1700/mo payment for 10 years and they'd forgive the rest. At $1700/mo, loan would be paid in 8 yrs.
