The term “South Asian” is itself an erasure of culture. It is a Cold War term little used before the 60s. India is the term used for thousands of years. If you are proud of your Indian heritage use that term, not the one which erases Indian identity.

Yes India does. A caste system that her family benefited from and one she is prepared to erect in America, as if the system the US has in place isn’t deadly enough. She must never take office.

I'm teaching Geography now in Thailand and India is a part of South Asia. Asia is divided into 5 regions. Southeast, Central, South, West and East. Pays to do a little research.
