People are dying in the streets of LA, SF, or SD. I know it’s a shit view, but why should I care about the Bahamas when we can’t afford to live in California, can’t afford to pay health care deductibles, or can’t be in a crowd w/o thinking: where do I run if shooting starts?

As someone who lives in New Orleans & benefited from the donations of folks from around the world after Katrina, I’m ready to pay it forward. Ya never know when it will be your turn. If want to donate to orgs in CA addressing issues you raised instead of the Bahamas, go for it!
