Identity politics refers to basing one's politics (or assuming the politics of others) are solely or primarily determined by their immutable characteristics (such as age/gender/ethnicity/age/etc). It's not "marginalization" at all. Nice gaslighting attempt though.

So weird, I was thinking of tracking this quote down to combat some of the racial bias dismissals I've been coming across. Immediate calls for "unity" as soon as racial inequalities are raised has become kind of a dog-whistle to dismiss racial bias by some good peoples.

I agreed with everything you said until you wrote “good people.” At this stage, “good people” have more than a clue about their biases and have tried to improve. Bigots are not “good people.”
