We need voter ID laws
It’s been 99 years since the 19th Amendment was ratified. Yet the struggle to ensure everyone has equal access to the ballot box continues, especially for women of color. We need to expand early voting, have automatic voter registration, and make Election Day a national holiday.

I’ll go for ID laws if the polls in every state open at 6am and close at 10pm. Also have Election Day on a Monday and make it a federal holiday so everyone can vote. And more places where people can go vote.

I actually agree with your last point. Voting day should be a holiday. We should still make people show ID to vote though

I agree with that also!!! It will give us hard working republicans a chance to get the day off so we can vote. Of course that only matters for state and federal employees cause most businesses are open on holidays. How about leave forgiveness for anyone that votes.

The soft bigotry of low expectations. The voting process is the same for everyone eligible. I think all colors, races, ethnicities, etc are perfectly capable of casting their choices

Ppl have no problem showing their ID to get disability, SSI, welfare, etc.; or a fishing license, a library card, a pack of smokes, or a bottle of booze... why is it so hard to do so to vote?
