Can we PLEASE get a teacher as head of, or high impactful role in the DofEd? Someone with real classroom experience (K-12) who’s gotten their hands dirty and has been at the foundation of a student’s journey. No more corporate “suits”, someone who “gets it.” We want to be heard.

Because they likely had to grade ~100 of them, if not more. This, combined with teaching and grading homework and other responsibilities.
