Teachers dont get paid enough to put up with the stuff that goes on in classrooms today

A first yr teacher w/ BA/MA at Huntington Beach Unified CA makes $60k. By yr 26 the teacher makes $118K. A high school tchr has 5 classes/day and works 185 days/yr. Is this not enough? Married husband/wife tchr in HB Unified would have combined income over $120K minimum.

We need wraparound services, we need school psychologists, we need smaller class sizes, & secured buildings for our kids. And a significant raise.

We really need better wages and more support. Educators are being asked to do things that we are not even trained to do. Just let us teach in a safe place and support our students so we can focus on learning.
