It cost $800 million to bring a new drug to market in 2004. It now costs $4 billion. Drug prices have gone up because it cost more to develop new drugs. What are you going to do to lower those development costs?

If we only focus on Pharma and not PBMs (Optum RX CVS Caremark and Express Scripts) we will miss a major reason why many patients are paying many times the actual costs of the drug at the pharmacy counter as PBMs price gouge us all. I know you're debating tonight, but my stepdad has kidney failure. Right now he is in Mexico for his treatment because he couldn't afford his continued health insurance from his employer. Medicare and Medicaid will not cover him until he has exhausted his 401k. p1/2

If he exhausts his 401k he and my mom will have no money for their retirement. This is a sad situation. We live in Washington state and cannot visit him because of the distance. What will you be able to do? PLEASE HELP!!!

Maybe if they stopped putting commercials on t.v. (not permitted in
) and stop paying off men in Congress to bribe them they could lower prices. I'll take my Dr's advice over a t.v. commercial any day.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Thank you for finally addressing that. I’m a diabetic I’m afraid to retire because I may not be able afford my meds.
