You will never ever be President in your life time. Bank on it!
As president, I will give Congress 100 days to get their act together and pass reasonable gun safety laws. If they don’t, I will take executive action. Thoughts and prayers are not enough. We need action.

Girl, please be quiet. Do you know what those gun laws do? They add more laws on the books & thus more ways for the police to put more black men in prison. But based on your history as a prosecutor I don’t see why you would change your tune now.

The prohibition against felons owning firearms started out to keep freed slaves from defending themselves against night riders, easy enough to create felons. Nothing has changed.

That’s not even relevant to this discussion. No one is saying people shouldn’t be able to own guns. Assault rifles and military-grade weaponry is a different story. No civilian has any valid reason to possess this type of weapon.
