This morning, the Department of Justice announced they would resume capital punishment. Let me be clear: capital punishment is immoral and deeply flawed. Too many innocent people have been put to death. We need a national moratorium on the death penalty, not a resurrection.

If it’s used appropriately, I believe dp could be an effective deterrent, especially in the case of violent crimes and murders of police officers and other first responders....

Studies have shown that the death penalty is not, in fact, an effective deterrent to violent crimes. Not to mention it also costs much more money to keep someone on death row than a life prison sentence.

There is no greater hypocrisy than the pro-birth, anti-child movement by the GOP. Force women to give birth then cut all social programs to feed or care for them because they are "socialist." Over fund the military and implement the death penalty. They make me sick.
