That's wonderful. Remember labs can't test kits they don't have. Your plan must include penalties for police agencies that: 1. Don't pick up rape kits from the hospital within 2 weeks. 2. Fail to deliver said kits to the lab within 3 weeks. 3. Fail to keep of track said kits.

I was brutally raped 36 years ago. A home invasion. Was stalked by phone calls day and night for over a year prior to the rape. I did everything right...called police, they took me to the hospital for exam. Oct. 2018, I requested and received .........

..the police report. The police did take my bedding and they told me the hospital still had my exam results. At the police request I gave a DNA sample to determine my DNA from the rapist's. I haven't heard anything and hope I'm not forgotten.
