Vote by mail. Works beautifully in the Pacific Northwest. WA and OR. Paper trail, signature on return envelope. Time to study the ballot. NO LINES!

It’s not the answer for every disability though. What if a persons disability affects their ability to write with their hands? Or many Deaf people’s first language is ASL, a written ballot needs 3D translation. Disability is diverse, we need diverse solutions.

Thank you for speaking about this! As a gay Mexican-American with a disability who has been a poll worker before, I know how important it is for equal access to voting. I want to continue to have my voice heard, as it has been since 1993.

I love this. But can we also make sure your campaign staff are properly trained on how to support disabled folks in attendance of event? I've been to a few where it's been an absolute second thought scramble. Not just your events, but quite a few democratic candidate ones as well

One reason WE allow 'absentee voting' is to ensure that the disabled have adequate time and availability to casting their Vote. WE have done that for decades. ~ L

But disabled people should have the same allowance & accessibility to vote on voting day at a polling place if that's how they want to vote. We shouldn't have to use an absentee ballot if we don't want to.
