Unbought and unbossed, Shirley Chisholm served as a role model for so many of us. She used her voice to speak for those who otherwise would not have a voice in the political process. I met her in the late 80's when she came to Lewis-Clark State College. As a member of student government I was privileged to get to meet with her personally. What a remarkable woman. I still have the program she autographed for me.
