Wow!!!!! His parents raised him the right way to be selfless instead of selfish.

Exactly- it probably costs more to administrate and collect money for lunch than it would just to provide everyone lunch.

They throw the kids food away if they find the child can’t pay for it. So yeah there’s a lot of waste going on.

As a teacher, I'm very concerned about the current nutritional value (or lack thereof,) of our school lunches. How would you make school lunches more affordable while also attending to the nutritional needs of our students?

I had to deal with the first year of that Obama healthy lunch thing, it made students eat less. Just provide them with the options, but don’t take away options just because they aren’t too healthy. It is better for children to eat something than nothing at all

I couldn’t agree more. I have been a teacher in Texas for years. Not only the school much program but the food as well. Where I am the food is frozen and terrible. I wish the cafeteria ladies could actually cook in there again instead of reheating. Our kids are hungry :(

I’m sorry! School *lunch

Well obviously they were eating otherwise they wouldnt be in debt would they. School lunch is like 2 bucks if parents can't afford that they can make packed lunch or they can apply for aid. This kid is an absolute legend but the parents are to blame not the school.

The schools aren't allowed to send the kids away with nothing... if their lunch account is short they'll give the kids a lunch and then send a note home for the parent to cover the balance and add more to the account. Most schools have free or reduced lunches.
