June 6, 2005, the Supreme Court ruled medical marijuana could be prosecuted despite state laws. As San Francisco’s DA, I wasn’t having it. We were not using our resources to prosecute patients. It’s on us to legalize marijuana at the federal level.

thank you Senator - "a friend" of mine was taking more than 30 mg of valium a day just to get to sleep because of chemotherapy, and CA medical marijuana allowed her to sleep normally. It's stupid not to take advantage of a natural remedy with few side effects.

Pot really helped my sis when she was getting chemo and radiation at Stanford last year. It was kind of funny to see all these senior citizens vaping and puffing in parking lot after treatment. It helps greatly with nausea and lack of sleep. Edibles work well also.

But we, the patients should not be charged exorbitant prices while being prohibited from growing it ourselves at home. That is the situation here in Arizona, there is a 25 mile no grow zone around every dispensary. It's time for total legalization.
