I didn't choose to believe Dubya when he lied about Iraq but my tax dollars are still paying for that atrocity. I didn't choose to play around w/tariffs so my taxes would bail out farmers, but I am.

The Hyde amendment is there to insure that the MILLIONS of taxpayers who do not want innocent babies slaughtered, do not have to be complicit in their deaths! Abortion is not healthcare!

When you knowingly-and-willfully risk procreating another person, and somehow succeed despite trying to minimize that risk, then I struggle to believe that you may wantonly terminate that life. It's not a tumor or a parasite, but a fellow person with equal rights plus a future.
-
I also struggle to believe that it's right to compel others to pay for such things. We used to call that practice theft. Now, it's simply called "redistribution of wealth." This is a much pleasanter term to use, but it doesn't change the fundamental nature of the practice.
