We need more housing SUPPLY. We need you to crush the NIMBYism that restricts supply and results in outrageous rents & home prices

There are enough houses but many times the banks would rather sit on them then to offer a fair price. We don't need more housing. I live in a big city with lots of houses that sit for months and ppl not being able to afford them.

How dare you assert this, Ms Harris. Landlords own their property, they should have the right to bankrupt working families by charging them 70 per cent of their monthly income in rent. This is socialist! Don't like the rent price, just 'move somewhere else'!.

Why is it always working families? I'm a working single, working 2 jobs and barely have enough to make it. I'm supposed to move in 2 months & have no idea how I'm going to get enough money for my next deposit & fees to move to a new place.

Exactly. It appears we're always left out of the equation.

I can't wait for my landlord to raise my rent $300 after finding my income has gone up! Abolish landlords.
-
LOL. Assuming “abolish landlords” translates to “forbid renting property” Every renter will be instantly homeless.

This is brilliant. We can’t sustain a feudal economy in which rich landowners prosper while everyone else lives like serfs.

The cost of construction, property taxes, insurance, utilities, maintenance, defaulting tenants, damage from tenants, land prices, tenants expectations, etc....have all gone up faster than inflation also. How about lower all those items?
