Understand that no matter what, it is YOUR CUSTOMERS that pay your salary. I know many women who are extremely well paid for their talent, marketing savvy, business skills, work efficiency and deliverables. Pay isn't about equal but about equivalent value created.

Only when it comes to promotion and assignments. Otherwise, any two people of the same paygrade/step *will* get paid the same. Frankly, that's one thing I miss about the military - everyone knew pretty much what everyone else made, and that fact prevented so many conflicts.
