That is great. But poverty education and the cost of health care contribute to these bad outcomes. The sicker a mom is before preg the higher the risk. Change the conditions in which she lives. Invest in communities.

I had a conversation with a mom-to-be today. As an experienced mother I told her that while the nurses/doctors will have the best intentions she should feel empowered to ask questions about the process & voice her needs. We’re a majority black city but you cannot be too careful.
