Teachers aren't paid with federal dollars you understand that right? Teachers are state employees. It's the state that determines teachers pay.

Her proposal provides 10% of funding for the raises from the fed gov as a straight payment to states. Then, to fund the balance, would match every state dollar with $3 of federal spending. So, yes, she knows. For those interested, more here: https://kamalaharris.org/teachers/

There are a lot of people who will be behind
@KamalaHarris on increasing teacher pay. Here’s some from Wednesday in Oregon:#RedForEdpic.twitter.com/Y8JgTJlYKl - End of conversation

Maybe if we stopped spending $115 billion per year on illegals we’d have more to invest in teachers.

Can you say NOTHING about nurses, ever? How about making an investment in us, the ones fighting every day for your lives! We, for the most part are not protected by national unions!

Both nurses and teachers are over worked. They don't get paid for all the care, responsibility, and paperwork they have to deal with. Thank you for your work as a nurse.

Hey Kam. when teachers start teaching a proper curiculum, AND START TURNING OUT STUDENTS THAT ARE ACTUALLY INTELLIGENT and able to live in the real world, they still would not deserve a raise. +Then the teacher’s unions get their books forensically gone over.

Let's not just blame the teachers. More parents need to accept responsibility for their kids education and behavior. Same with the kids. There is not much responsibility anymore and people play the blame game. It would take more then just a curriculum change.
