It is a great deterrent in the right hands. Some teachers, only the teachers who want to protect their students and will train to be proficient with a gun, should carry. Those teachers can stop a shooter!

We register cars & need a license to drive or even to go fishing! Law-abiding citizens would be fine w/taking a class, passing a test, getting a license, registering their guns, getting background checks, requirements for locking up weapons, no weapons of war, buy-back programs.
