It’s simple: teachers are helping educate and raise our country’s children. There shouldn’t be a single question about giving them a much-needed and deserved raise.

In my district, teachers make high-5 or low-6 figures. They get paid more for coaching/leading activities, & they get a stipend for school supplies. But this only works b/c the voters support and pay for it. I’m not sure what the answer is nationally.

Amen! A score on a test does not tell the whole story. It will be the creative minds that mold our future, not the ones who conform. Just look at Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, and Paul Allen. Thinking outside the box wins.

Raise? Sure. But many would love to have adequate supplies, a safe environment, and resources for students.

......smaller classrooms and less thumb down legislative agendas that have no affect on student outcomes. Income is income we all want/need it but feeling accomplished and valued is something that our profession needs. We are professionals treat/fund it as such!
