Our teachers need to be paid triple what they are paid now. Thank you for standing up for them.
And let's be clear -- there are two groups of people raising our children: parents, often with the assistance of grandparents & aunties and uncles, and our teachers. Teachers are helping to raise the next generation of leaders and we are not paying them their value. #NAACPDetroit

I would rather give them the tax money that currently goes to enrich the rich. We entrust our children to them & they deserve to be able to make a living wage.

Besides Teachers, I like to use the term “Educators”- It includes para professionals, school social workers (I’m a retired SW), nurses, psychologists, speech pathologists, other special ed providers and various other support personnel that help nurture and educate our future

Well I raised my children on my own. Teachers taught them English, math ,science and some history. Only because schools don’t teach history anymore. So I taught them History. Both were Honor students. Now both Marines.

Teachers do not....raise children....they teach them! We cannot change their pay federally. They need merit pay in their school districts to be implemented. We need less government screwups in our lives not more.

In my state they get a $500 per annum bonus for packing at school. What could go wrong? Teacher in a room full of children with a gun at hand. Best idea ever. Florida
