The point also is that millions of customers in New England respected and honored the strike to force Stop & Shop to end the strike. Parking lots were literally empty. People of New England believe in organized labor.
Over 31,000 Stop & Shop workers and their families stood together when their wages, retirement benefits, and health care were at risk — and won. This is a victory for workers everywhere.
