My first grade teacher was a treasure, too! Mrs. Hutchins attended my high school and college graduations, and then friended me on facebook. Now she shares pictures of her garden with me. =)

Instant gratification rules too much of our lives. We need to remember what investment is all about... Investing in our children's future *will* pay off. So glad you are fighting for our teachers.

This is fantastic! My now 7th grade daughter has an ECE teacher who shows up for all of her stuff and, I swear, it has made a huge difference in her self esteem and performance.

That is sad. It should be the parents responsibility for self esteem and performance issues. Horrible parents are horrible parents.

My success was shaped by my grandparents and parents. I can’t think of one teacher who had any impact on me at all—except negatively.

had one. visited with her and her husband at the nursing home. Great christian woman and man. I was just a little guy about ten years old but I never forgot her. I felt her love for me. raised in a non christian environment no good role models. Christians YOU make a difference.
