Black women have a dangerously high rates of type ll diabetes and gestational diabetes, creating life threatening complications for moms and the babies. More research is desperately needed to promote maternal health.

The rate is higher because black women are more likely to smoke crack and drink heavily during pregnancy, it has nothing to do with racism. Asian and Hispanic mothers are just fine. So please stop the lies

Ok. Let’s speak truths. What is the percentage of “black women” that become pregnant due to unplanned circumstances? When you take into account the % of population and % of unplanned pregnancies that’s why they’re facing a “maternal health crisis”. More exposure.

Nope. That possibility has been studied. The increase in black maternal mortality is independent of planned pregnancy vs unintended and independent of socioeconomic status.
