I will never forget our daughter from college calling my wife and I around 1am crying and crying for hours. Can still hear her voice as we tried to tell her it was going to be ok. She knew differently.....and we did as well.

I remember sitting on the floor of our dorm hall with my friends, hugging each other and crying. Two of them were survivors of sexual assault and we watched as the most disgusting thing on earth became president. I needed anxiety meds to even get 2 hrs of sleep. We knew.

It was painful for two months. It was when I participated in the DC Women’s March that I realized we could be a force to reckon with. I’ve been volunteering, protesting, and resisting ever since. 2018 was OUR result!

I threw up over the election and during that same night my precious 1-year old, three pound beautiful Pomeranian died. Then it all got worse because trump got worse. Seriously, trump elected and your dog dies the same night and yet things got worse?
