Nearly everyone with educations similar to teachers would gladly take an 11% pay cut in exchange for teachers' schedules, work year, and job security.

You could absolutely do that. Just become a teacher. Unfortunately, then you would see that teaching is much more than you think it is (like most careers).

Fix public education and solve so many social problems. It’s the long game, but the end game.

She is just pandering for votes - not students. If she was an advocate for students she would be adding teachers to make classroom size smaller, adding for $$ for STEM classes, etc.

We keep putting more money into education and all that happens is educator/administrators take that as salary and benefits increases and nothing changes for kids. Stop throwing money at it.

High quality teachers quit due to low salary. That does change the quality of education.
