When a tiny country like Iceland has medicare for everyone while the richest country in the world doesn't one knows there is something intentionally wrong. Need I say more?

The day my mother told my sister and me that she had colon cancer was one of the worst days of my life. I remember being so grateful that my mother had Medicare, we must work toward guaranteeing it to all.

My adorable boyfriend didn't have insurance, so he wasn't diagnosed until he had stage IV colon cancer. He died 31 days later. It was 18 months ago today. If we were Canadian or British, he might still be here.

I am stage iv. I was misdiagnosed 6 years. We must have national healthcare. I am sorry for your loss. I was given 0% chance by my medical colleagues

My husband was denied social security disability even though he has a rare disease that is killing him, & went w/out insurance for the last 8 years because he couldn't work and I couldn't afford to pay for both of us. Would love to hear what you plan to do to fix this injustice.

I have my husband, the love of my life and my very loved sister in law only because of Medicare. They were born with cystic fibrosis and are alive by organ donation. What i see that nobody else does.. I'm lucky to have my love of my life.

L They couldn't work during the hight of their illness, and both needed at least a year for recovery and learning how to live without needing to save breath

Medicare isn’t perfect- I’m a physician and I couldn’t get a patient who had severe asthma get covered for his inhaler that he needs to take every day without having to pay several hundred dollars. The system is broken and it NEEDS to be be fixed before providing for all.

Disagree. We need to add everyone immediately *while* we work to fix the broken parts. Making everyone wait until it’s perfect means they stay sick and dying.
