It's outrageous that in more than 30 states, the average teacher is paid less than the living wage for a family of four. Teachering should be the highest paying job. Much more than professional athletes, or movies stars, rock stars etc.

I agree. If I were making the decision, teachers, nurses, firefighters, police officers & our military would command the highest salaries. They teach us, they heal us, they protect us. Where would we be without them?

It’s outrageous that in SF, teachers can not afford to live, yet your friends that run the city still took 180m away from education to further enable the poverty pimps who thrive from the misery of others.

Stop talking about pay unless the same conversation talks about children's test scores...what's wrong with you. this is not a hand out center, but an education system where the merit of the system should be judged by the kids success. This must be another one of your talking pts.

This is up to the ISD not a presidential candidate... You could have tackled this at a state level. I recommend you speak your truth to California first. See how they handle listening and then ACTING on it. A little less talk, if you please.
