This is why Dems need to control the House, Senate and Presidency. Repubs don't want people to be educated. They know they can't win and get to push their toxic agenda when enough educated people vote.
The teacher pay gap is a national failure that’s holding America back. Our country has failed to give teachers the resources they deserve. My plan would provide a $13k raise for the average teacher. I am committed to this fight for our teachers and our future.

Increasing teacher pay in needed but so is improving teacher education programs in colleges and universities and making the major require more challenging course work. Currently many students choose education because of the easy class work and we aren't getting the best teachers

@KamalaHarris - Are teachers qualitatively more entitled to this huge raise than firefighters, EMT’s, nurses...? Of course not. And that is the problem.
