Republican philosophy of more guns creating less civilian gun violence is just asinine. Don’t let criminals, domestic abusers or mentally ill pass background checks. Limit high capacity military style weaponry. Invest in medicaid and social service programs
People are killed in our streets, in our churches, at concerts, and in our communities. The devastating effects of gun violence demand action. That means ending the gun lobby’s corrupt influence in Washington. We have to speak that truth.

The purpose of the 2A isn't hunting or self defense. It's as a warning to our Government and the world that we won't take any guff. The 2A has always been meant as a way to fight tyranny and stand against invasion. Honor your oath of office, bone up on your Constitution.

How about legislating that you won't show the faces and names of the perpetrators of these atrocities when they do happen so that the next guy doesn't desire his three weeks of fame. You literally are advocating to give criminals an advantage over the law abiding.

As someone who survived a mass shooting let me explain. The only thing that stopped the bad guy w a gun - was a good guy w a gun. And I am grateful for that woman who was carrying her firearm that day, she saved countless lives; mine included.
