Republican philosophy of more guns creating less civilian gun violence is just asinine. Don’t let criminals, domestic abusers or mentally ill pass background checks. Limit high capacity military style weaponry. Invest in medicaid and social service programs

Mitch McConnell used nuclear option to tamper with Supreme Court, budget trick to ram through 1% tax cut and has consistently worked against the people. He’s up for re-election. If everyone who read this chipped in $5 we’d flip Kentucky

A good friend of mine was murdered a week ago yesterday by her controlling ex. He shot her with a gun legally registered to him. We need to stop accepting violence against women as a matter of course. Thank you, Senator Harris.

How in the world can anyone be on the other side of the issue of domestic violence? Is the NRA that worried about the rights of people who don't need a gun?
-
They're not 'on the other side of the issue'. Whoever came up with this bill knew what they were doing by trying to slip some BS in there to restrict people's gun rights.

Any domestic violence charge, even a misdemeanor, will already deny your background check to get a firearm. The question is on the 4473 form.
-
Exactly so could this go toward everybody accused or just those convicted? That's a big difference
