Great! But you will have to include some provision for discipline. Most teachers I know are leaving because the students are not held accountable for their behavior.

This is perhaps the most truthful statement that I have come across in this thread. When you remove power of discipline from teachers, control moves towards the student body. And the saddest thing is, the students know this.

My HS chemistry teacher, who was entertaining and a wonderful teacher, left after 5 years to take a much better paying job with a nuclear power plant. I don't think I would have passed chem w/o him.
