I agree, but also we need to be force-fed (pun intended) education on how to manage and prevent diabetes. **Also, I'm chunky, so I can say it.
Far too many Americans do not have access to the health care they need. Right now, one out of four diabetes patients cannot afford their insulin. Too many Americans are being forced to choose between life-saving prescription drugs and putting food on the table. That’s outrageous.

If you’re taking insulin you’re most likely Type 1 which is not preventable or curable (auto immune). Agree on education for Type 2, but conditions are not the same and are too easily confused.

EXACTLY!!!! It’s about big Pharma and Health insurances OVER PRICING and one healthcare will NOT fix the situation until these 2 are reigned in on the prices

I pay for a good PPO policy and still pay out of pocket for TONs of tests. This isn't even for me, its for my 11 month old son with several chronic conditions. We can pay OOP but I can't imagine someone else trying to budget for these unforeseen expenses.

I’m so sorry. Luckily my child hasn’t had any issues, but if / when she does, I am terrified of what would happen. I think we all feel that way in America... TERRIFIED at the prospect of being unwell and wiped out financially. Other countries don’t have that stress.

It's a travesty. I spent 10yrs at a Pharmaceutical Distributor as purchasing manager. I can attest to Pricing behavior & new formulations being tweaked to continue patents (humira), price increases of 5k %. Sadly felt that it is & was criminal. Run with it KH!.
