Most teachers take money from their own pockets to buy students the supplies they need. They’re the ones creating a special handshake for each student or spending extra time to tutor their students in science or math. But they’re underpaid and overlooked. I have 6 different preps & I have no before school downtime, planning or lunch. My students know every ounce of free time I have and are in my room getting tutoring for myself, or forming study groups. If that were to translate to the business world, I’d be making six figures.

our gym collects school supplies for local schools throughout the year because the cost is overwhelming for underpaid teachers. Education is the key to our future...not wars and walls.

Teaching at Center High School, I had TRS health insurance, and you chose the perfect word for it. When I switched over to the college, I got ERS, which was better, but it could use some work, too.
