Canada's healthcare is so good that Canadians fly into the US to get any and all medical procedures above a routine check up.

You need to include a discussion about the cost of the supplemental policy (underwritten by insurance companies) that pays 20% of what medicsre pays. Talk about the exorbitant cost of those. Outrageous! Two to three times what the medicare premium is. Then you have a part D prem.

I buy Rx from Canada. The price can be lower than the co-pay under Medicare with supplement.

If you think health care is expensive now wait until it’s “free”. Ms Harris do you believe in meritocracy or mediocrity?

BS. The US spends much more money on healthcare than Canada, on both a per-capita basis & as a % of GDP. In 2006, per-capita spending for health care in Canada was US$3,678; in the U.S., US$6,714. The U.S. spent 15.3% of GDP on healthcare in that year; Canada spent 10.0%
