You are correct. We should not detain pregnant women in immigrant detention centers. Pregnant women should automatically be sent back to their country. This would protect us from being responsible for anything that happens to her and/or her child.
The Trump Administration ended a policy that prohibited detaining pregnant women in immigrant detention centers last March. That’s not just immoral, it’s dangerous. My colleagues and I introduced a bill to end this cruel practice.
