This is stupid. If you give people money they will just spend it. People don't have $400 because they spend every dollar they make. Get a budget, save an emergency fund, boom no Lift Act needed.

I never hear about all this waiting from actual Canadians, New Zealand, or anywhere else with civilized healthcare. What I do hear is in USA you wait, in USA you get denied, in USA you go bankrupt from astronomical bills. No bankruptcy from getting sick in civilized countries.

What about people who earn $0? Do they not deserve to be lifted? When you say working class Americans, why don't you seem to care about unpaid workers? Are you under the impression that our safety net functions to protect everyone with a disability and everyone not employed?
