This is stupid. If you give people money they will just spend it. People don't have $400 because they spend every dollar they make. Get a budget, save an emergency fund, boom no Lift Act needed.

The problem is wages in the middle class. In 1955 for instance, a new Chevy full-size truck had a $1981 base price. That equates to $18,606 today’s dollar. Base Chevy truck today costs $50grand and up! Average home price in 55 was $9100. That equates to $85,469 today’s dollar....

I never hear about all this waiting from actual Canadians, New Zealand, or anywhere else with civilized healthcare. What I do hear is in USA you wait, in USA you get denied, in USA you go bankrupt from astronomical bills. No bankruptcy from getting sick in civilized countries.

What about people who earn $0? Do they not deserve to be lifted? When you say working class Americans, why don't you seem to care about unpaid workers? Are you under the impression that our safety net functions to protect everyone with a disability and everyone not employed?
