Good for her to express a more forward-leaning foreign policy, not falling into far left trap
The U.S. must immediately condemn Maduro’s violence against his own people. There is no excuse for this. The Venezuelan military and security forces must demonstrate restraint. Venezuelans deserve a free and fair election and a peaceful transition of power.

What is the “far left” trap you speak of? Opposing a staged photo op in which the Trump Admin, which is actively trying to force out Venezuela’s govt, tries to force an armed conflict by delivering aid, even though UN and ICRC won’t go along with Bc of obvious political goals?

I agree that Maduro is awful, but I don't think there's a good side here. The U.S. should stay out of it militarily and should provide humanitarian aid with no strings attached. The fact that Venezuela has oil makes me suspicious of any U.S. intervention.

My family is from Venezuela some have fled from the suffering. Venezuela is a very rich country in oil & natural minerals. It took 15 years for 2 Dictators to steal/sell the wealth & DESTROY DEMOCRACY. There has NOT been a Fair Election in 15 years. This is how DEMOCRACY DIES!

But Maduro IS acting as a dictator by killing his own people. We have to stand against his abuses and stand FOR democracy around the world. Like most things it is complex unless you lead with your values
